Hi friends....
Dallas, TX – January 9, 2008
Thanks to the generosity of The Polyphonic Spree,
Quick Magazine, and the members of the Polyphonic
Spree Forum, the charitable organization Doctors
Without Borders received a little extra financial
assistance.
Individuals purchased ten photographs from a recent
Quick feature about The Spree. The proceeds from the
images by photographer Jason Janik were donated to
Doctors Without Borders. This non-profit,
humanitarian organization is committed to delivering
medical assistance internationally in regions affected
by epidemics, to people affected by armed conflict,
and to individuals who would otherwise lack
healthcare.
The Polyphonic Spree is committed to providing
relief in Darfur, and Doctors Without Borders is among
many organizations contributing to the relief effort
in this Sudanese region afflicted by genocide,
fighting, and the suffering of refugees. Through the
sale of the photographs, $275.00 was donated in honor
of The Spree and $25.00 was given in honor of The
Spree Forum members.
