"The Quick has been a long time
supporter..from the days of Tripping Daisy all the way up to the
current Polyphonic Spree. It's just an honor to give something back.
Supporting local music (scene) in some form or fashion has always been
close to our hearts."
-Tim

Quick's Big Thing: This is Quick's free local-music awards show and
concert on April 24 at the Palladium Ballroom in Dallas. It's a
celebration of the Dallas music scene. Quick will give out 10 honors
to local acts.

Awards: The nominees were developed by a panel of local-music
insiders, including Hunter Hauk, Skin and Lesley Tellez from Quick,
Stonedranger from WeShotJr.com, Cindy Chaffin, DJ Drop, Princess Cut
and Lance Yocom. Fans can vote for the winners on QuickDFW.com and via
text messaging through April 18 at 10 a.m.

Performances: The Polyphonic Spree is the headliner. DJs for the night
are The Party. Other performing acts are PPT, Record Hop,
Ghosthustler, and the King Bucks with Salim Nourallah, Sarah Jaffe,
Doug Burr and Johnny Lloyd Rollins. A rap battle will feature Dallas
MCs Headkrack and Playdough. And the host is The Ticket and Quick
personality Gordon Keith.

Hi.
How is spring treating all of you?
Everything new and blossoming is so refreshing. Such an inspiration, for sure.

(Hey... have any of you ever grown anything? Grown any vegetable gardens? I'm growing a pizza garden, ever heard of such a thing?)

Soooo.... there is a show coming up.... a free show, are you in?
We can't wait to celebrate Dallas music with all of you. I hope you got your tickets, courtesy of The Quick.

xoxo
